How did Obama use affirmative action to become successful?

I've seen a lot of people here accuse Obama of milking affirmative action to get ahead. If that is indeed true, then what proof supports this claim?|||Not at all, when applying to Harvard he didn't even mention his ethnicity. Obviously this will get thumbs down as it's not a negative comment regarding the man.





Obama was a lawyer prior to becoming President, in fact education-wise, he's a lot more qualified than a good amount of Presidents in our past.





If anything, Obama is a walking billboard for why we don't need affirmative action anymore. He over came the odds and achieved his goals without using his race to promote/demote his visions, despite the naysayers opinions.|||You can't use affirmative to be successful if you don't have the talent to begin with. Neither Columbia University nor Harvard will accept a student without the grades. Black, white or green. There's nothing to milk.





I've seen this crap when I lived in Tennessee. Some of those clowns figured a smart black person had to have had an angle, affirmative action or some other crap to get ahead. I remember a white woman in Tennessee asked my wife no less than 7 damn times which school (Columbia University) she went to. Finally I told her to cut it out. Then she went on to talk about her own Community College experience as well as some Dominican baseball players. The very idea of an Ivy League Educated non-white is foreign and almost anathema to some brain dead folks.|||There is no proof so, where do all these wild accusations come from?

Perhaps Zer0bama being so secretive about his past has something to do with it.





A list of visitors at the White-House had to be dragged out of him through a court order.


Has anyone seen his grades?


Has anyone seen his papers?


Has anyone seen anything he published in the Ivy league newspaper he was in charge of?





Maybe if he was a little more forthcoming all of this so-called 'nonsense' as Gibbs puts it, would subside.|||I haven't heard that one. So some idiots say that and you need to ask everyone a question about it? You're addressing a small group of people on that one I think.





No matter his skin color, I would still point out the fact that he's inexperienced...yeah just a little ya think?

The guy walked around the ghetto organizing the community and went to Harvard law school. He even taught constitutioinal law at Harvard.|||You will never find proof that black people were unfairly given a leg up over white people in the name of affirmative action.





Lets be honest, if he wasnt black he would have never even gotten the nomination. We wouldnt even know who he is.|||If this were the case, than the 43rd President used legacy admissions and parental jobs to get ahead, which is an older form of affirmative action.|||There is no evidence that I've ever seen. People who are upset with black people in power usually use "affirmative action" as a putdown -- they don't believe people of color could attain such positions otherwise.|||An educated minority in the US can be very successful. I do give Obama props for trying to succeed. Even though I don't like his policies.|||Those that have any hatred for Affirmative action will always accuse a successful black person of milking it....it's supports the narrative.|||You mean other than the fact that a guy with absolutely no qualification, knowledge, skills or achievements became president by riding the color of his skin?|||Affirmative action is what got him elected as president.
