How is Obama planning to pay for all of the intiatives he talked about the other night?

If we're in a deep hole, where is Obama planning on getting the money to pay for all of the big initiatives he's talking about? If they just print more money, doesn't that make the value of the dollar go down because there are more dollars in circulation? Macroeconomics has always been difficult for me to understand. Insights?|||He plans to cut the amount we are currently spending in Iraq, let the Bush tax cuts on high income people expire, put in a program that will tax CO2 production in industry and to borrow the remainder of the deficit which he claims will be about the same amount we have needed to borrow for the last 8 years. The US government does not print money to pay for deficits, the amount of new money creation is determined by monetary policy to control economic activity|||Instead of just printing money, the government is more likely to borrow the money by selling US government bonds to investors.

Printing and selling US government bond certificates is different from printing money. Because investors who buy these bonds give their money to the government. And they can't spend it. Only the government can spend this money.

But this kind of government borrowing can eventually cause the US dollar to go down relative to other currencies. US government debts can become so large that many investors might become afraid that the US government will either start printing money to repay its debts or simply default on its debts.|||He is less concerned about how to pay for them, with a long term plan of increased tax rates and cap and trade which will indirectly tax everyone who uses energy or buys any good through the higher energy costs associated with the caps. He is more concerned with growing government control and federal control over citizens and states while he is still rich in political capital.|||He plans to tax rich people, but worse than that, he plans to majorly raise taxes on businesses, both of which will hurt the economy and jobs, especially taxing the businesses to death. He also plans on cutting a lot of religious type programs, I believe, which will make me angry...
