When did Obama start caring about the Bill of Rights?

Conservatives and libertarians have always defended the constitution, even when it may be inconvenient. Yet Obama is against gun rights, against free speech in the case of Citizen's United. The only right he seems to care about is letting Muslims build a mosque in ground zero. And that's only right now and only for Muslims. Don't believe me? Just google Saint Nicholas Cathedral.|||Obama taught constitutional law; he's always cared about the Bill of rights.





Letting Muslims build a mosque at ground zero is only for muslims? That sentence doesnt make any sense. Why would anyone but muslims build a mosque?





Are you saying Obama would be against letting the catholics build a church next to a playground? I would be too!





BTW, how do you feel about christians putting a church near the site of the Oklahoma Federal building, which was bombed by Christian terrorist Timothy McVeigh? Are you against the constitution on that too?|||Uh maybe when he got his doctorate in Constitutional Law, the man knows more about the Bill of rights than you do.


The Second Amendment says that the state and federal government has a right to regulate what weapons private citizens can posses. ANd the President hasn't taken away your guns anyway has he?





Citizen's United was a case against corporate funding of 'independent' political broadcasts in candidate elections. Obviously you think it's a good idea for corporations to buy candidates with the promise of advertising. "Citizens" United is a hardcore right-wing advocacy group financed by the GOP. The only Citizens involved are board members of the same large corporations that put profits before people .|||You seem to believe this is Obama's doing. What do you think would be happening differently with the "ground zero mosque" and Saint Nicholas Church had McCain been president, or Sarah Palin, or George W. Bush. Would they have circumvented the Bill of Rights and the local authority of the City of New York by forcing the mosque to move elsewhere? Would they have circumvented local authority and forced the Port Authority of New York to rebuild St. Nicholas Church? Why would they have done that? Would you be mad at them if they had? Would you be mad at them if they had not? Would they have come out and said it was wrong? Why would they say that, except to play to their right-wing base? There isn't any other reason for a president to say anything at all about this. Be mad at Obama for being stupid enough to say something about it. But that's Obama's only crime here.|||You are barking up the wrong tree.

I don't see Obama "taking" any guns away, nor the ATF (do you know who the BATF/ATF is?)


I don't see him telling anyone to build a Mosque. He did say they have the freedom (under the Constitution) to build it if they WANT. Not that someone might burn it down someday. I'm just saying...


Lastly, do you realize that it takes a lot of time to mend fences. If we hate on the Muslims, think they will not want to destroy America if they get the chance later? Just chill.|||he doesn't care.
