What if Obama wins the majority of the popular vote but loses the electoral college?

Say the Republicans win all the states they won in 04' plus a few smaller ones like Maine and New Hampshire etc but Obama wins huge victories in California and New York etc ?

Who wins?|||The candidate with the most electoral college votes wins the election.|||The electoral college is the final arbiter. It would take a constitutional amendment to change this, and that doesn't seem likely. Further, realize that the only times this happens is when a race is so close that, statistically speaking, the margin of victory in popular vote is usually within the margin of error of the polling technology. For example during Bush/Gore, the margin by which Gore won the popular vote was razor thin. Given the huge number of tabulation mistakes, marking mistakes, outright fraud, and other factors, even though we aren't going a poll in the sampling sense, there is still a margin of error, and while no one can agree on quite that that margin would be, Gore was well within it.|||The results of the election are decided in the Electoral College. For example, if obama gets a trillion "votes" in Chicago, but no votes at all anywhere else, he only wins Illinois.|||Wishful thinking.

That's the problems with libs. They cling to "hope", "change", and "fantasies".

Obama will become NOTHING. Fact.|||As with Al Gore the snore, you lose if you don't get the electoral votes.|||He's out. Exactly what happened in Bush vs Gore. Gore had the majority of votes but still lost.
