Are Obama supporters afraid of a debate and starting to feel the heat?

I notice from previous questions that it's been Obama supporters that make excuses for no more debates. I heard a diehard Obama supporter say juust days ago that he felt Obama was starting to show a lot of weaknesses that he had not noticed before. He said another bad debate for Obama could cost him many of his supporters because his luster was wearing off.|||Obama does not want a debate because he is in the lead and thinks another debate could only hurt him.~|||The problem with a debate is that McCain might forget who he is debating and what they are talking about (McCain already confuses the differences between Sunni and Shia, Iran and Iraq, etc.). Obama does not want to embarrass him.

|||Actually, Michelle is right. Debates will hurt Obama because his Socialistic beliefs will come out and when people realize how many more taxes we'll be forking out to pay for his grand ideas, that'll turn the tide real fast.

What I said was that Obama doesn't need the free airtime like Hillary does.|||i see on tv he just said he would do it to prove that he is not for higher taxes (fox news sunday) but i doubt he really will.|||Obama supporters are not afraid of a debate. Hillary Clinton is a narcissist and is a sore loser. She NEEDS a debate to try to woo superdelegates away, even though it won't work. Obama has already won this. Why take the chance of allowing Hillary to add to the RNC's playbook against him? She's been more damaging to the Dems than the Republicans. It is not fear of a debate. It is a wise strategy to prevent instigators from causing more damage.|||they are not telling me anything new. All it will degenerate into is a character assassination. 21 debates have told me quite enough of what both of their prositions are.|||Obamas the man. Good Luck to him I say.
