According to this morning's issue of the New York Times, Obama has the most liberal voting record in the Senate in 2007. He is even left of ted Kennedy. He voted along Democratic party-lines 97% of the time. And his policies during the primaries are in the mainstream of Democratic thought. How can such a hard-line liberal hope to unite with the Republicans?|||After the statements of his Mentor and wife...no, there is really no way he can unite this Country...he may be able to unite the Liberals, but not the rest of the Country...people know, you are judged by the company you keep...and he would not have stayed married to his wife or had a Mentor that he went to his church for 20 years if he did not basicly agree with them...I think he might divide the Country worse than Lincoln did in 1860...|||THINK ABOUT THIS IS MY THOUGHT THAT OBAMA IS GOING TO WIN MCCAIN IS NOT FAVORITE AND I TOLD MYSELF THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO VOTE BUT IN REALITY OBAMA IS GOING TO WIN HE SEEMS TO MAKE US FEEL BETTER ABOUT STUFF MCCAIN AND PALIN DO NOT BUT WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO OBAMA?????????????????????????鈥?

|||Obama is not prepared for the highest political position in the entire world. He's gonna screw this up....BADLY!

|||No way. People who liked him are starting to hate him and people like me who hated him before he was elected are starting to dispise him.

I'll pass on the duck on a crutch...|||He misspoke he meant to say he wants to be the great divider not uniter.|||He can't. Liberals love to believe their man can unite everyone, but he won't be able to. He won't be elected. Even if he was elected, his so-called "change" scheme is a bunch of bull.|||The only way I would feel united with the Democrats is if they banned abortion, cut taxes, reduced the size of the federal government, abolished the current public education system, stopped their push for special rights for special groups (perverts, minorities, etc.), actually read the constitution (especially the amendments), and all moved to California.
Unless Obama can promise me those things he won't be getting my vote or the vote of any self-respecting Republican.
